Unfortunately, the majority of theme customizations are only available in the premium version of the theme.
4. VW Writer Blog
A versatile blogging theme that was created for writers, authors, bloggers, and more.
The theme is responsive and has support for WooCommerce and popular social media services. All design changes can be made in the WordPress theme customizer.
5. Writings
Writings is a simple, yet beautiful design, that minimilists will love. It has full support for Gutenberg and features an author bio area and several page templates.
Social media links can be displayed at the top or bottom of each page and website elements such as the page title can be disabled at the click of a button.
6. Bloggist
Bloggist is a modern twist on the classic blog design. The theme is responsive and SEO ready.
Through the WordPress theme customizer you can upload your logo and favicon, change website colours, upload a custom background image, and more.
7. Writee / Writee Grid
Writee, and Writee Grid, were created for writers. It is ideal theme for travel and adventure blogging as it focuses the reader’s attention on your content.
Many theme customization options are built directly into the design and there is support for related posts, Google Fonts, and Awesome Icons.
8. Libretto
Libretto was designed for those that write long blog posts and want the reader to stay focused. Its classic one-column design may split opinions, but personal bloggers will appreciate it.
The theme was created by Automattic and includes nice touches such as unique styling for drop-cap paragraphs and pull quotes. There is support for social media networks too.
9. Verbosa
Verbosa is a fluid WordPress design with beautiful typography and SEO friendly code.
It has support for Google Fonts, is translation ready, and be customized through the WordPress theme customizer.
10. Writers
Writers is a simple blogging theme that has been optimized for search engines.
It has great typography and lets you change all website colours. A full width page template is also provided.
Overview
There is no perfect WordPress theme you can use for any purpose. You need to take the time to test many designs and see which one is best for you and your blog.
