It’s that time of year again where most of us in the Western world will be celebrating Christmas. Whether you are religious or not (I’m not), this is a great time to sit back, indulge in too much food and spend time with family.
When you are young, Christmas is all about toys and games. As you get older, you realise that it is all about family. You begin to appreciate the time you spend with family more. Sure, Christmas is an over-marketed celebration that has taken over the original Christian/Pagan festival; however it does not take away from what it is.
I will be taking a few days off to relax at my parents house. This will be the first time I have celebrated Christmas at home in three years as the previous two were spent in Colombia. It is also the first time I have spent Christmas with my older brother in four or five years. So I am particularly looking forward to it.
Whatever you end up doing this Christmas and New Year, I hope you have a great time. And if you have time, spare a thought for those that are less fortunate than ourselves.
On a personal note, I would like to thank you all for the support and goodwill you have shown me this year. I can assure you that your comments, tweets and shares are very important to me.
Speak to you soon :)
