Growmatik is a feature-rich marketing service that helps you convert visitors into customers. The service describes itself as an “Omni-Channel Marketing” solution, which means that the focus is on providing users with the right content at the right time. The overall goal is to give people value.
In practice, what that means is that Growmatik gives you more control over the journey someone takes on your website. Users can be segmented using over 50 personal filters to help you categorise them and target them better using personalised content, emails, popups and more.
All of the tools that Growmatik provide are designed to grow your audience, understand your audience better and convert people into loyal customers. The whole process can be automated too.
Let’s take a closer look at how Growmatik can help online shops and businesses.
Getting Started With Growmatik
The best way to understand what Growmatik can do is to give the service a try yourself. Growmatik plans start from only $12 per month, but a two-week trial is available free of charge.
Once you sign up, you will be taken to the Growmatik dashboard. You are encouraged to complete eight steps to get started. This includes connecting your website, importing your contacts and setting up your first automation and email. A number of tutorials are also listed on this page alongside the latest articles from the Growmatik blog.
Connecting your website is simple. Growmatik natively integrates with WordPress and WooCommerce, Shopify, Stripe (store events), Hubspot, Google Search Console and Google Analytics. Integrations are coming soon for additional platforms and services such as WooCommerce subscriptions, Facebook, Twilio, Zapier, custom events and form embedding.
On the left-hand side of the dashboard, there are four menu items for Analytics, Automation, People and Workshop. A profile button can be found at the bottom of the menu too. This button gives you access to site settings, account settings, billing, support and more.
Advanced Analytics
The Analytics page gives you an insight into customers, their behaviour and how they engage with your website. Many things are tracked on this page such as campaigns, site engagement, sales, customers and email engagement.
You can filter all reports by date and the sales and engagement analytics offer more detailed analytics. For example, the site engagement report shows the pages that have been visited, referrers, traffic from specific URL parameters, countries and search terms.
Another feature of Growmatik is what they call Multi-Touch Attribution. The idea is that you monitor conversions on every channel to see what is generating sales, email registrations, referrals and more. The focus is on tracking engagement and conversion values so you know
Smart Marketing Automation
Automation is one of the biggest features of Growmatik. You can create automations from scratch or use one of the available pre-made templates. They call these templates Automation Recipes.
For each recipe, you need to define the trigger that starts the automation and the subsequent actions that need to take place. It’s an incredibly versatile system which allows you to change the journey of a user on your website.
Automation can be triggered by dozens of different events. This includes traffic sources, emails being opened, an order being completed, form submissions, time spent on site and more. Each of these can be filtered for particular types of people on your website. When an event is triggered, you can perform an action such as sending an email, showing a popup or redirecting a user.
Once you’ve set up a few automation campaigns, you begin to appreciate how powerful an automation tool can be. It’s a marketer’s dream.
Customer Segmentation
In the people section, you can import contacts using CSV or using a third-party email service such as
Intercom or MailChimp. Tags and attributes can also be assigned to contacts to help you categorise them better.
By far the coolest feature here is Customer Segmentation. This can be used to understand your customers better and filter them into different segments.
Just like with automation campaigns, you can start from scratch or choose from dozens of pre-made segment templates. Templates are available for a variety of use cases such as those who abandoned their shopping cart, those who clicked on email campaigns, engaged users, guests, mobile visitors and social media users.
Dozens of different factors can be selected including their personal details, device, activity on your website, shopping habits and more. You can be incredibly focused on these segments to create super-focused campaigns.
Workshop
Email Templates and Popup Templates can be created in the Workshop area of Growmatik. There are pre-made templates for:
- Email: Acquisition, Announcement, Cart-abandonment, Forms, Follow-up, Occasion-based, Promotions-Discount, Promote-Products and Reactivation.
- Popup: Email-List, Promotions-Discount, Comply-Consent, Announcement, Forms, Acquisition, Occasion, Reactivation, Cart-abandonment, Follow-up and Promote-products.
If you prefer, you can start emails and popups from scratch, but I believe most people will benefit from using a template as it saves a huge amount of time.
Templates are easy to customise. All you have to do is select a part of the template to bring up size, typography and colour options. The width of the template can also be adjusted in general settings.
Another powerful feature in the Workshop area is Personalisations. This tool allows you to set up Smart Emails, Smart Popups and Smart Webpages.
- Smart Emails: Send targeted and personalised emails by sending automated emails based on behaviour, site activity, shopping habits and more.
- Smart Popups: Popups can be generated based on customer data, keywords, activity and more.
- Smart Webpages: Change the content of your website and online store based on who the user is, what they are doing and how they interact on your website.
The whole concept of personalisation is fascinating. Using these tools, you can personalise content according to who the user is, what products they have in their shopping cart, which blog posts they have read and more.
The Cost of Using Growmatik
Once your two-week trial has expired, you will need to select a premium Growmatik plan to continue using the service. All plans come with support and allow unlimited contacts and email sends.
The four available plans are Lite, Starter, Growth and Pro. These retail at $12 per month, $49 per month, $99 per month and $299 per month, respectively.
All plans are based on the size of your marketing audience and the number of automation rules you want to use. Growmatik defines marketing audience as the number of unique people who have been subject to automation built by Growmatik.
In other words, these plans are not based on the number of people who visit your website every month but on the number of people who are affected by your automation rules.
I recommend testing the Growmatik service using their 14-day free trial so you can see what the platform can do, but if you do end up opting for a premium plan and change your mind, a refund can be requested up to 15 days after your purchase.
Final Thoughts
I hope you have enjoyed this look at the Growmatik Omni-Channel marketing solution. I’ve spent this week playing around with the tools on offer and have been impressed with how specific you can make campaigns.
As I’m sure you’re aware, E-commerce is a trillion-dollar industry that continues to grow every year. The analytics service Statista notes that worldwide retail sails were 5.2 trillion US dollars in 2021 and this is expected to increase to a whopping 8.1 trillion US dollars by 2026. This should be no surprise given how much online shopping has become an integral part of all of our lives.
Although E-Commerce is a huge industry, it’s important not to forget how competitive the landscape is too. Marketing is central to every successful online shop and a key part of campaigns is understanding your audience and how to target them effectively and efficiently. That is where a service such as Growmatik can help.
It can be used to boost engagement with your audience, grow your email list, personalise the content on your website, improve conversion rates and promote brand loyalty. For online shops and businesses, all of this should increase your net profit.
I encourage you to sign up for the Growmatik trial to see how it could help your business.
Thanks for reading.
