I am far from being the best writer in the world, but I have always did my best to research the facts for all articles I have published and cite sources.
Sadly, mainstream media does not do this. Many of the top news websites online are content farms that pump out articles for the benefit of banks and corporations. Whether the article has a positive or negative bias, it is always poorly researched and few sources are cited (if any).
YouTubers have sold out too. Just this week there was news about a top YouTuber with over one million subscribers who was paid by a Polish bank to publish anti-cryptocurrency videos.
The War Against Cryptocurrency
We see this bias every day in reviews and news about technology (Apple, Google etc), in cars, in supermarkets, and more. Many articles are simply advertisements that have been rewritten to look like they are impartial.
The bias against cryptocurrency is obvious. News websites aren’t even making an effort to disguise the fact they have a hidden agenda. Every day they publish negative stories and promote scaremongering.
I speak about this in the video below.
We are going to continue to see negative stories about cryptocurrencies until they are adopted on a mass scale. The banks are doing their best to stop the momentum of coins like Bitcoin, but they are fighting a losing battle and they know it. So all they are doing is buying themselves time to adapt to the market so they aren’t left behind.
Always Think Critically
Whenever someone states that the media are publishing lies and propaganda, there will be claims that the person is a conspiracy theorist or is just plain crazy.
As the old saying goes, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics. Be critical of everything you read. Try and look at positive and negative stories for everything. It isn’t always obvious who benefits from a particular situation, but you will be able to make a more informed decision when you read more.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this so please leave a comment below.
