Feed Syndication

All blogging platforms publish an RSS feed so that subscribers can read your content through a feed reader. The default feed works ok; however, there are many feed syndication services available online.

These services provide statistics such as the number of people subscribing and the number of times a link has been clicked. They also enhance your feed by adding additional features such as social media sharing links and related posts.

	FeedBlitz The only service that provides RSS syndication and email marketing. Their RSS syndication provides is reliable and provides accurate statistics of your subscribers. The RSS service costs $1.49 per month, with additional fees being charged for email subscribers.
	Feedburner Feedburner was the most popular RSS syndication service with bloggers for several years, however it is only a matter of time before Google closes the service down, having closed down the API, blog, and Twitter account, in 2012.
	Feedcat A free feed syndicator that publishes a catalogue of all feeds it serves. A good alternative to Feedburner.
	Feedity A unique service that allows you to create an RSS feed using any page on the internet. Their starter package costs $6 per month and allows up to 20 feeds.
	If This Then That A flexible content service that lets you set up actions to be processed if certain events are true. For example, you can use the service to update all of your social media accounts when your RSS feed is updated.
	Jetpack by WordPress The subscription module of WordPress allows subscribers to get an email update whenever you publish a new article.
	Nourish A newsletter service that allows you to convert any RSS feed into an automated email newsletter your readers can subscribe to.
	RapidFeeds A feature rich feed syndicator that offers branded feed URLs, advanced statistics, and feed scheduling. Prices start from $4.49 per month for tracking three RSS feeds.
	RevResponse A free RSS to email service that allows you to monetise your newsletter by promoting magazines, eBooks, and white papers, to your subscribers.
	Simple Feed Stats A WordPress plugin that provides statistics on your subscribers and allows you to add additional content into your feed. It also comes with a widget for displaying your feed count.
	Subscribe2 One of the best subscription plugins available for WordPress. All users are handled through the WordPress user system. It allows you to send emails to users whenever you want. It can also be used to send updates to subscribers whenever a new article is published on your blog.
	Subscribe by Email Another WordPress plugin that manages all of your subscribers through WordPress. It costs $19 to download, however it has fewer options that Subscribe2.
